Epic45 are based round the nucleus of school friends Ben Holton and Rob Glover and have been creating there own particular blend of pastoral dream pop and expansive instrumentals for over 10 years. Having had a varied and fluid line-up since their debut in 1999, Epic45 have released a series of highly acclaimed EPs and albums for labels such as Make Mine Music, Bearos, Awkward Silence and Where Are My Records. The band have also received radio airplay from the late John Peel, Steve Lamacq and Verity Sharp over the past few years.
Their new album 'Weathering' will be released on Make Mine Music in March 2011 and features guest appearances from Stephen Jones (Baby Bird), The Remote Viewer, July Skies' Antony Harding, Richard Adams (The Declining Winter/Hood) Sarah Kemp (The Declining Winter, Lanterns on the Lake) and James Yates (The Pattern Theory, Declining Winter). Their previous album ('May Your Heart Be The Map') received positive press from NME, The Sunday Times, Mojo, The Guardian and also appeared in both the Word Magazine’s Top 10 albums of 2008 and their Albums of the Decade. After tours of the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and Denmark over the years, Epic45 undertook their first major tour of Asia in September 2008 with 10 headline shows in Japan followed by 2 dates in Taiwan.
